UNITI ("UNITI", "we", "us") operates this site (unitiusa.org), the member hub at uniti.team with its classifieds and jobs board, and the training portal at upskill.uniti.team. This policy covers all of them. It explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Information we collect
On this site we collect nothing unless you use a form or donate. When you send a message, volunteer, enquire about partnership, or ask for updates, we store what you typed, your email, and the page you sent it from, so a member can reply. Donations are processed by a third-party form; we receive your name, email, amount, and whether you asked to be listed publicly.
When you create a member account, we collect:
- Your full name and email address
- Your country code and phone number
- Your password (stored as a salted hash; we cannot read it) or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google
While you use member services we also store what you do there: sessions watched, posts and comments, event registrations and attendance, classifieds listings, forum directory entries you choose to publish, and sign-in timestamps.
How we use it
- To deliver programs and services: sessions, progress, certificates, event registrations, directories you opt into
- To communicate: verification, password reset, reminders, weekly digests, important announcements
- To moderate the community, classifieds, and forums
- To improve the program using anonymized, aggregate figures
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train external AI models.
Third-party services
- Supabase: database, authentication, file storage
- Coolify: application hosting on a self-managed server
- Cloudflare: DNS
- Resend: transactional email
- Google OAuth: optional sign-in with Google
- YouTube: video playback of unlisted sessions
- Zeffy or Stripe: donation processing; we never see card numbers
Cookies
Member sites use cookies only to keep you signed in. This site sets no cookies. We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics that record page views without identifying you.
Your rights
- Update your name, phone number, or password from your account
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data (irreversible)
- Unsubscribe from non-essential email
- Withdraw from any public listing (supporters wall, forum directory, classifieds) at any time

Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. On a deletion request we remove personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or operational reasons.
Children
Member accounts are for people 18 and older. UNITI Kids Enrichment programs are registered by a parent or guardian, who provides the child's first name, age, and their own contact details. We do not create accounts for children.
Security
HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords, row-level security on the database, signed URLs for files. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you.
Changes
Material changes are communicated by email to members. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
